1. Service Description and Scope

WaveMax provides educational content, resources, and learning programs centered on algorithms and data structures. Our platform offers various learning materials, but we make no guarantees about specific outcomes, job placements, or career advancement.

The content we provide reflects industry standards as of its creation date. Technology evolves quickly, and while we strive to keep materials current, some information may become outdated between updates.

We operate from our office at 105, Taiwan, Taipei City, Songshan District, Section 3, Bade Rd, 112號2樓, serving students primarily in the Taiwan market, though our platform is accessible internationally.

2. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features, you'll need to create an account. You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.

Account Requirements

• You must be at least 16 years old to register independently, or have parental consent if younger
• Provide accurate, current information during registration
• Maintain and update your account information as needed
• Use only one account unless explicitly authorized for multiple accounts
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breaches

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in activity that disrupts our platform or other users' experience.

3. Acceptable Use and Conduct

Our platform exists to support learning. We expect users to engage respectfully and responsibly.

You agree not to:

• Share, distribute, or resell course materials, code examples, or proprietary content without written permission
• Use automated tools to scrape, download, or copy platform content
• Attempt to access restricted areas, other users' accounts, or backend systems
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or anything that could harm our infrastructure
• Harass, intimidate, or abuse other users or our staff through platform communications
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization
• Use the platform for any illegal activities or to violate local, national, or international laws

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content on WaveMax—including text, graphics, code samples, videos, audio, and design elements—is owned by us or our licensors. This content is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your access to our platform grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view and use materials strictly for personal educational purposes. You may download select materials for offline study where explicitly permitted, but redistribution is prohibited.

Student Work and Submissions

When you submit assignments, projects, or participate in discussions, you retain ownership of your work. However, you grant us a non-exclusive license to use, display, and reproduce your submissions for educational purposes, platform improvement, and promotional materials (with your permission for promotional use).

5. Payment Terms and Refunds

Some courses and programs require payment. Prices are listed in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD) and are subject to change, though enrolled students will be grandfathered at their original price.

Payment Processing

• We accept various payment methods as indicated during checkout
• All payments are processed securely through third-party payment processors
• You're responsible for any bank fees or currency conversion charges
• Failed payments may result in suspended access until payment is resolved

Refund Policy

We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase if you've accessed less than 20% of the course content. After this period, or if you've progressed beyond this threshold, refunds are generally not available except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

To request a refund, contact support@wavemax.life with your order details and reason for the request. Refunds are processed within 7-10 business days to your original payment method.

6. Educational Content Disclaimers

We put considerable effort into creating accurate, useful educational content. But let's be clear about what we can and cannot promise.

Our courses teach algorithms and data structures as practiced in the industry, but technology changes constantly. What's current today might be outdated tomorrow. We update content regularly, but cannot guarantee every lesson reflects the absolute latest industry developments.

Programming and technical skills require practice, patience, and often additional study beyond what we provide. Our platform is a resource, not a complete solution to career preparation.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Our platform may include links to external websites, tools, or services we think are useful. However, we don't control these third-party resources and aren't responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

Some learning materials might reference or integrate with external development tools, platforms, or documentation. Your use of these external resources is subject to their own terms of service.

We may use third-party services for payment processing, email delivery, analytics, and other operational functions. These services have their own privacy policies and terms, which we encourage you to review.

8. Privacy and Data Collection

We collect and process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. By using WaveMax, you consent to this data collection and processing.

We collect information like your name, email address, learning progress, and interaction with course materials. This helps us improve the platform and personalize your experience.

How We Use Your Data

• Deliver course content and manage your account
• Communicate important updates, course announcements, and support responses
• Analyze platform usage to improve educational content and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraudulent activity

We don't sell your personal data to third parties. Any sharing is limited to service providers who help us operate the platform, and they're bound by confidentiality agreements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WaveMax and its team members are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the platform.

This includes but isn't limited to lost profits, data loss, business interruption, or any damages resulting from your inability to access the platform, even if we've been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our maximum liability to you for any claim related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or TWD 1,000, whichever is greater.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep WaveMax available 24/7, but we can't guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, technical issues, or circumstances beyond our control may cause temporary disruptions.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the platform at any time, with or without notice. This includes adding or removing courses, changing features, or updating pricing for new enrollments.

If we discontinue a course you've enrolled in, we'll provide reasonable notice and may offer alternatives or partial refunds depending on the circumstances.

11. Termination and Suspension

Either party can terminate this agreement at any time. You can close your account through account settings or by contacting support. We can suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms.

Reasons for Termination

• Violation of acceptable use policies or code of conduct
• Fraudulent activity or payment disputes
• Sharing account credentials or course materials inappropriately
• Engaging in behavior that harms other users or platform integrity
• Prolonged inactivity on paid accounts (typically beyond 24 months)

Upon termination, your right to access course materials ends immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of WaveMax should first be addressed through informal negotiation.

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Taipei City, Taiwan, under the rules of the Chinese Arbitration Association. Each party bears their own costs unless the arbitrator decides otherwise.

You and WaveMax agree to resolve disputes individually. Class actions, class arbitrations, or representative actions are not permitted under these terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We'll update these terms periodically as our platform evolves or legal requirements change. We'll notify users of significant changes through email or prominent platform notices at least 30 days before they take effect.

Your continued use of WaveMax after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you disagree with changes, you should discontinue use and may be entitled to a prorated refund for any unused paid subscription period.

We'll maintain an archive of previous terms versions on request for your reference.

14. General Provisions

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision doesn't constitute a waiver of that right.

These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and WaveMax regarding platform use, superseding any prior agreements or understandings.

You cannot transfer your rights or obligations under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer our rights and obligations to another entity with notice to you.

Headings in these terms are for convenience only and don't affect interpretation.
